Welcome to Yorkshire Sculpture Park
We are pleased to announce the launch of our David Nash limited editions which have been exclusively produced by David Nash for Yorkshire Sculpture Park. The stencils are produced by hand using charcoal and pastels and are produced in a limited edition of 30, 50 or 100. Nash first made a wheelie in 1974 for his son William, for which he won a prize at the National Eisteddfod in Wales. In 1976 Nash produced a series of wheelies to be sold as a 'multiple souvenir' from his solo show Loosley Held Grain at the Arnolfini Gallery in Bristol. He later made multiples of 'ladders' and 'running tables'. For this major survey show at YSP, Nash has repeated the idea of wheelie multiples to be sold during the exhibition and for visitors to take home. Produced in four series, each wheelie is unique and offers a rare opportunity to acquire an original 'Nash' sculpture. Produced using oak, rhododendron or sycamore with cedar, the wheelies have been made by the artist to be sold at these special exhibition prices as a fund raiser for YSP.
